About Me
I fell in love with jewelry as my art form in 1994, when I studied in Mexico City with renowned master jeweler Francisco Ortiz. I then took residence in San Miguel de Allende, a premier region of Mexico for modern silver smith design. Soon I was acquiring wax modeling and casting techniques that further sharpened my craft and skills.
I traveled to Jaipur, India, where I had a unique opportunity to develop my resources in semi-precious and precious stones. I worked with Swedish Jewelry Designer Jasmin Zivaljick who encouraged me to cultivate my artistry.
Currently, the Llanes Jewelz Studio is located in the beautiful village of Malinalco, Mexico, where I lives and work with my husband and my two daughters.

The Llanes Jewelz LOGO is made up of two enso. An enso es a japanese art form, a circle, hand-drawn in one uninhibited brushstroke. A pure espression from the heart at ther moment the mind is still.
“The circle of the enso remainds me of cycles, of movement, of the constant change in life. When you are fully present, you get to capture many possibilities and choose the most meaningful to you”. Mariana
